What about West's 3club? This is the good-old-sensible-Acol non-forcing style. A more modern treatment is to use the Lebensol-via-2NT-is-weak approach. 3club can then be left for forcing/constructive sequences. Someone at the table remarked "At least the suit is right. 5diamond goes off on a spade lead."
