Surely someone should have bid 7NT, but West nevertheless decided to pass and East, a good friend, had to play 7diamond on heart6 lead. Imagine you are at the helm. There will almost certainly be squeeze chances on this hand, so trumps are your only worry. You win heartA and cash diamondAK to see diamond23 from North and diamond7J from South. Crossing back to spadeA, you lead a diamond from dummy and North plays diamond5. How do play? (by the way, it's a very close Gold Cup quarter final, so not much pressure).
