The intention would be show heart support later. Amazingly, expert A agreed - normally he has a repertoire of critical hyperbole reserved especially for my bidding. He also mentioned 4 in passing, which was the favoured bid of expert C. Expert B bid a simple 4, and also commented that 3 was interesting. Indeed. Many modern players reserve bids like 3 here as "I have a good hand, but I have no clear cut bid". A forcing (so they said!) 3 was a popular choice of others I polled.
