North was unaware that his partner had been given a problem by their new system. 2spade by South would have been a second negative and, not wanting to jump to 3spade on such a flimsy suit, he decided to temporise with 2NT. North closed his eyes and bid 6NT, although a waiting bid of 3diamond would surely have been perfectly OK, and would have led to the excellent grand slam in hearts.

South felt that he could not do any more - but how would you advise him to play 6NT at pairs scoring on diamond3 lead?
