One of the team, Brian Callaghan, was an unsung and modest member of the outstanding late 60s/early 70s team at Cambridge which was also able to call upon Fleet, Granville, Oddie, Woo, Benstead, Armstrong, Kirby, Loveys and Barnes amongst others.

I always remember Brian as a gracious opponent who almost apologetically spirited away the IMPs, so it was pleasure that I was able to read about several deals where he excelled in the Olympiad. This particular example has appeared in several publications, but I make no apology for repeating it here for it shows defence and declarer play at its best.
