. He meant this as fourth suit forcing while RB took this to be a cue bid agreeing spades. When West doubled, RB's redouble was intended as showing second round control. After all, RB believed that ARF had already shown primary control.After a Roman Key card Blackwood 4NT, 5 was intended as two aces (of five, trump king is the "fifth" ace) with spades as trumps. ARF thought it showed 2 aces (of five) with diamonds as trumps! The debacle concluded when ARF converted to 7NT because he suspected the A was on his right and he preferred West to be on lead!
