Today's hand features something very unusual. Two internationals, both very strong players, playing together in what was widely regarded as one of the strongest pairs in the UK over the past 20 years, and they have a total disaster. Mere mortals like us must savour these boards, because they occur far too infrequently and it shows they're human after all.

The players concerned were Tony Forrester (ARF), probably the UK's best known player, and Raymond Brock. They were playing together in the final of the British Bridge League Gold Cup 20 years ago when the deal cropped up. It has been rotated for convenience.
