Well, my partner came up with a very practical solution to help me. After my 3NT had shown a balanced 25-27 points, he jumped to 6diamond, and without total justification I heard myself rebid 7NT before he finished saying "diamonds" As you can see, the play was not taxing, even for me.

A few deals later, a pair of opponents also bid to 7NT on a different hand, and this was also 'lay down'. But no, the real story of the evening was at one of the other tables.
