Our friend in 2heart led a low heart at trick two and made nine tricks, but at least one declarer in game led a club to the queen and king. He won the diamond return in hand, crossed to spadeA and led a low heart to the nine ten and king. Ruffing the spade return, he crossed to clubA and led a second heart to the jack, queen and ace. West still could not access his partner's hand and so South was able to avoid the diamond ruff. Declarer scored 620. Note that South had played well to remove East's potential entry before a second round of diamonds was played. If South uses spadeA immediately for a heart play then East gains the lead with clubK to give West a ruff.
