Maybe your methods might dictate the choice? At the table East-West were playing five card Stayman and even though West had originally opened 2NT East had no hesitation in forcing the bidding to a small slam.

But how do you reach a grand slam? East lacks a cue bid over 3spade and West will be unaware that clubAKx is so huge. Maybe it requires some good old fashioned bidding of suits.
