Cross to clubA at trick three and ruff a club high. A trump to dummy finds the remaining spades splitting evenly so you now make the key play of a low diamond from dummy. Unless South inserts the ten or jack the contract is now cold. If South plays low and North wins the trick he will doubtless lead another diamond. You should climb with the ace and exit with a diamond. Even if South wins and returns a heart you will play low to end-play North. On the other hand, if South wins the low diamond with ten or jack and returns a heart then you would revert to taking all the red suit finesses. It's relatively easy to spot the possibility of an elimination and end-play, but the best way to achieve it is well disguised.
