Nevertheless, declarer should always get home - he should have played a spade before drawing any trumps. Now there is no problem - South wins the club return, crosses to hand with K, ruffs a spade low and draws trumps. The difference here is that declarer has a trump and
K left to retain control after drawing all of East's trumps.
