It might "feel" right to get the diamonds going before drawing trumps, but that would have been unnecessarily dangerous in view of West's vulnerable overall. Declarer did exactly the right thing when he led heart8 from dummy and East covered. A spade ruffed with heartA was followed by a finesse of heart7 and the last trump drawn. Declarer now exited with diamondK and eventually won his tenth trick with diamondJ.
