At the other table East opened 1NT as before and West began a psychic transfer to spades with 2heart! North doubled and South waited expectantly to pounce on West's 2spade ... which never came. Never mind, 2heart doubled was no picnic and the defence took their full quota of two diamonds, a diamond ruff, two clubs, a club ruff and two major suit aces to finish with +700 (old scoring) and a nice gain.
