I suspect that many North's might make a quiet waiting bid of 4diamond in this situation. Some might even take a dim view of their hand and sign off in 4NT. Not so this North! He leapt to 6diamond, which strikes me as a trifle excessive. Would South's bidding been any different with a small spade instead of a small heart? I'm not convinced by this sequence at all.

Nevertheless, 6diamond was a fair contract, so how would you have played from the South hand on the lead of spade3? Imagine that you ruff East's spadeA and lash down clubAK. East's queen drops on the second round.

Over to you again.
