With one spade under his belt declarer now abandoned spades and started on the winning clubs. South ruffed and found himself in a dilemma. To lead a heart would allow declarer to throw spadeK while ruffing in hand. A trump finesse and winning clubs would lead to eleven tricks. So South cashed spadeA first before continuing hearts. No good either. Declarer ruffed in hand and tabled diamond10 - South had to duck or dummy was high. Now East simply played spade winners through South. Whenever South chose to ruff declarer could over-ruff, draw the last trump and claim. Very elegant.
