This is clearly a time to ruff high - if LHO has all three diamonds and a singleton club you're down anyway - if he's got a doubleton club and three diamonds then hats off to East for a brilliantly imaginative defence. LHO throws a heart, and both follow to diamondA, but the jack does not appear. So far so good - now what?
