A double is the normal, perhaps sensible way to proceed with hands as big as this, Maybe 3[C], asking partner to bid 3NT with a stopper (!) is a possibility, but I wonder if anyone gave any thought to a crude punt of 3NT!? Anyway, after partner's aggressive cue bid of 3spade (that's how it was intended) you punt the slam.

What are your thoughts when East wins clubA and returns the seven?
