It is interesting to note that had I passed 2NT doubled we would have taken the first eight tricks. In 4spade if West had found the inspired lead of a low trump they could have taken the first seven tricks, i.e. both pairs were trying to play in a contract where the defence could start by taking over half the tricks!

Not unsurprisingly West led the diamond Ace, otherwise there would be no story, which I cunningly ruffed in dummy. The top club followed discarding a diamond, another top club was ruffed by East with spade5 (if East had ruffed with the king and continued trumps I would have been down one) and I over-ruffed with spade6. Another diamond was ruffed with dummy's last trump and another top club led. East ruffed in with the spade king and declarer's last diamond was discarded. East persisted with another diamond, ruffed in hand (a heart from East is better, see below). Declarer crossed over to the heart Ace, cashed two top clubs discarding hearts and then ruffed a heart in hand. Both South and West were down to just three trumps, so South exited with a small trump to West's seven and could not be prevented from taking the last trick with the spade queen.
