North showed excellent judgement and faith in his partner's bidding when he duly bid 7spade. Reasoning that his partner must be void in diamonds and that East's heart bid made it certain that South's secondary suit was clubs, North envisaged a 6-2-0-5 shape for South, or possibly 5-3-0-5. That being so, his own hand could hardly be better - all the black suit honours were pulling full weight.

Moving around to the South position, how would you play 7spade on the lead of diamondA?
