Sad old git that I am, I spent some time thinking about yesterday's deal on the way to work. The hour's drive to work is a useful time of the day for such relections. Nevertheless, when one's attention is focused on complicated end positions one is not paying enough attention to the road, and when it is also very foggy it is best to forget bridge for the time being. Work was all consuming yesterday and I had no more time to ponder on the deal in depth, but I did wonder if anyone would pick me up on the possibilities of making 6NT as opposed to the stone cold 6. Sure enough, there two e-mails awaiting me when I arrived home .
