It looks a little tempting to lead that winning heart doesn't it, and that was how Mari came to fall short of ten tricks. Had he ruffed dummy's last club and exited with a low trump then West would have had to put dummy in with a heart, but as the play went Mari was left with a diamond loser at trick thirteen.
