After winning in dummy, Christian Mari of France led a spade to the nine - which held the trick, West contributing the seven. It was obvious that East, who had passed as dealer, could not hold spadeA, and so Mari had played for the only chance - that East had both jack and ten.

After playing diamondJ to West's king and dummy's ace, a top heart was ruffed by East's ten and over-ruffed by declarer. diamondQ was followed by a diamond ruff in dummy. Now what?
