On the last trump North throws diamondA to avoid an end-play, so West leads spadeQ, covered, and plays towards diamondQ. Note that South has to keep at least two spades and at least two diamonds, so both defenders have been under pressure on the run of trumps. Ten tricks.

How often in bridge literarure and websites have we seen defenders under unexpected but inescapable pressure on the run of a long suit? This is just another example.
