At teams, after eliminating clubs, you might win the second trump in dummy and lead a small diamond. If South plays low your contract is now cold by winning the return with ace of diamonds and exiting with the queen. If South wins the first diamond and puts a heart through then you will play in just the same way, for the diamond finesse is an unnecessary risk.
