Surely the correct line at pairs is to win the opening lead, eliminate clubs, draw trumps ending in hand and play a diamond to the queen. If that holds then you play ace and another diamond with a sure end-play on North guaranteed.

If the diamond finesse loses, then you duck the heart and again play ace and another diamond, happily making with this layout.
