Thinking that it would be good to give declarer to an early decision in a grand slam, North led heart7 against 7diamond. The contract was now straightforward, but West quite reasonably assumed that South had the vital heartK. After cashing heartA and two trumps declarer led heartQ from the dummy for a ruffing finesse. Unlucky.

Had West rattled off all his trumps North would have been caught in a show-up squeeze for the thirteenth trick, but the result was a flat board after all.
