As Simon points out, if East shows out on the third round of spades or has false carded then you might think that you are an entry short to dummy to take the club finesse AND ruff two clubs on table. However if the third round of spades does not bring down the king, declarer can just draw a second round of trumps and exit with a diamond. Whoever wins must either play spade setting up a winner in dummy or a diamond (giving a ruff and discard and thus an entry to dummy) or a club giving you the chance to try the club finesse.
