Double dummy analyser: makeable contracts
West leads a trump (best), so South wins in hand to lead a diamond which West takes to lead another trump. Realising that the spades must be brought home to give himself a chance, South wins in hand again and leads spade10 intending to run it, so West covers. A diamond ruff and spade finesse gives South five trump tricks, four spades and two heart ruffs ... an unlikely eleven tricks on a combined 18 points.
28/03/2026: I notice that the DDA shows that North-South can actually make 12 tricks!
