Although I'm fairly sure that 4spade cannot be beaten even at double-dummy, North in this room faced a sterner test with the defence of a trump lead, club switch, trump continuation. East's negative double was explained as very likely, although not guaranteed, to show four hearts, so declarer therefore followed with heartA and a heart finesse! West won heartQ, led a diamond to East's king and a third round of trumps finished dummy's active participation. The cost was 1100 and a total swing of 17 IMPs!

What might have happened had West decided to bid on over 4spade ...
