Put it this way . how do you feel if you win spadeQ and play diamondA, ruff a diamond, heart to the queen? North wins and returns a trump, South following. You can ruff another diamond and cash two hearts throwing whatever you like, but you're stuck in dummy and potentially right up that well known creek without a paddle.
