If the trumps are 3-1 but the hearts are 2-2, then the winning line is to cash heartK and play two more rounds of trumps, ending in dummy. The hearts will now run uninterrupted.
If the trumps are 2-2 but the hearts are 3-1, the successful line is to cash heartK and play one more round of trumps, ending in dummy. A heart is ruffed and dummy still has another trump to access all those juicy heart winners.
