Where North decided to keep quiet, West was able to rebid 2NT and East transferred to spades, ensuring that the good contract of 4spade was reached from the right side of the table. Declarer won the heart lead and finessed spadeQ. North won and continued hearts but West won, drew a round of trumps, ditched a diamond on heartQ and established the fifth heart via a ruff. After a club to the ace dummy's last diamond went away and with the club finesse working West scored an impressive looking +650.
