Double dummy analyser: makeable contracts

Ironically 4spade was an excellent contract and at least one North played it to best advantage. He ruffed the second diamond, crossed to spadeJ to ruff another diamond and drew trumps throwing a club from dummy. Dummy was entered with heartA for a third diamond ruff and then the other top hearts were cashed, ending on the table. When they proved to be 4-2 declarer led a club from the dummy, knowing that he still had chances when West's jack appeared. He simply covered and waited to see whether his king was a winner or East had been end-played. Any comments?
