Although North is very likely to have all the missing key cards, it's a good idea to guard against the possibility of a bad trump break. East should win spadeA, ruff a spade and plonk diamondK on the table. North will duck after seeing his partner's diamond3, so now you switch to a club. Whatever North does you will use you entries to dummy to score three spade ruffs in hand, a club, a diamond, one club ruff, spadeA and heartAQJ. Ten tricks. Any other line in 4heart can be defeated by careful defence, although 3NT by West is actually unbeatable as the cards lay.
