I suppose it depends on how East is likely to perceive 3diamond. If you play 2NT as beginning a Lebensohl-type get-out, then 3diamond should have constructive overtones. If not, then perhaps a direct raise of hearts is the best idea. 4heart was reached at most tables and South led spade3, 4th highest.
