# diamond

Without prejudicing other lines, declarer led a low club from dummy at trick three! East hopped up with the queen to lead a heart but now South rose with heartA and drew the outstanding trumps with spadeJ. With three clubs, a heart, a diamond, two diamond ruffs and five trumps South could claim.

Why did South adopt this line?
