I thought Dick's 4spade was well judged - the alternative of 3NT would appeal to some. It looks as though there are the club and diamond aces to lose. If the trump king is offside, and the diamondA is over the king then you have to avoid losing a second red trick, although the queen of clubs is available for the disposal of a one potential loser.

The initial play starts with a club to the ace. RHO now plays the most threatening card for you, the heart10.
