Declarer won clubA and led a heart towards dummy, so East shot up with heartK and returned a trump. Prospects had improved, so declarer won in hand with spadeA and crossed to heartQ in dummy. diamondK was covered and ruffed, followed by spadeK, heartA and a heart ruffed with spade10. diamondQ provided a parking space for North's losing club and the slam came home when North ruffed a diamond high and drew the last trump.

Had heartK originally been with West then declarer would have required either the hearts to be three-three . as well as diamondA being right of course.
