Let's say that you win. Even if you draw two rounds of trumps and the queen comes down it is not clear how you would be able to glean ten tricks, for when you play a diamond the defence will play a third heart. If, on the other hand, you play a diamond before drawing trumps then the defence can organise at least one club ruff without any hassle.....
