Imagine that instead of leading ace and another trump at trick four, South leads a low trump. West flies in with the king, gives his partner a spade ruff, wins clubAQ and exits with a diamond. South wins diamondA and continues with black suit winners from dummy. East will ruff, but now South can over-ruff and cross back to dummy with heartQ - drawing all the defensive trumps in the process.
