Flint jumped to 6club. Unfortunately I cannot tell whether he had any subtle reason for doing so, but it looks like he thought he might make it. Anyway, after Sheehan had suggested 6diamond, Flint retired to the relative sanctuary of 6NT and South led a friendly spade8.
