Only ten out of eighteen Wests who played in 6club actually made it. The lucky ones had a trump lead. Some had a neutral heart lead. They ditched a diamond on the third heart winner and cashed clubAK - no problem. The unlucky ones, like West after this sequence, had the seemingly easy ride when North led ace and another diamond.

Now why has North led from an unsupported ace? Ah yes, he must have clubQxx and therefore I must cash clubA and finesse the jack. Whoops.
