If you led diamond10 as West did at the table it goes diamond2, diamondJ, diamondQ. That was very disappointing for West as he could see that the points were likely to be roughly equally divided and that as long as East had more than one diamond there would have been three potential diamond tricks for the defence.

South plays spade10 at trick two. What would you do as West, duck or play low?
