Our liege and master, His Royal Majestic Personage, has decreed that any person opening at red vulnerability with a poor hand shall have various parts of their anatomy removed using only an "Alert" card, a travelling score sheet and a large machete. I would imagine that, had South been part of HRMP's team, there would be little of him left.

Nevertheless, because of South's opening bid, an interesting sequence ensued. Eventually partner bids 4spade, which is doubled by East and eventually passed out - somehwat reluctantly by his partner.
