There's no point pussy-footing about - I would recommend 6club with this lot - a jump to the six level was what the pre-empter did on the hand mentioned earlier. Look at the problems it gives East-West - what are they to do? If West passes does this indicate first round control to East, or is it a merely forcing manoeuvre to allow East to make some further descriptive bid?

Assuming that East bids 6heart and West replies with either 6spade or 6NT, can East be expected to bid a grand without an ace? I think not.
