I reckoned that on line 1 (diamondQ at trick three), declarer can ruff high and even if this promotes a trump trick, with partner holding, say heartJx (or even stiff jack), he can ditch a hypothetical spade loser on diamondJ before we can stop him. Equally, on line 2, declarer can pitch the same hypothetical spade and our trump trick goes away. So I cashed spadeA and led.......
