At another table West opened a club, North overcalled a heart and East bid 2heart, good with club support. South entered the fray with a double, meant as a Sputnik type, and West's 3NT closed the bidding.

Should North have gone on to 4spade with such spades? Should he have found the killing diamond lead? Whatever the judgement of the jury, North led a spade and a grateful West rattled off nine tricks very quickly.
