It was difficult to decide whether to give you the East or West hand to bid, although in truth it's not a great problem. An old style "Intermediate" jump overcall of 3 over South's opening 1 would certainly get the job done, but even playing these West might well decide that 2 is OK for the moment. At this vulnerability East will know that West will have a respectable hand and should therefore make a single raise to 3 or, if East is playing with a regular partner, he might prefer an unassuming cue-bid of 2. In any case West will not be stopping short of game with that lot.
