If this hand was entered into a bidding challenge competition I would imagine there would be a range of answers. There would be support for 3 (assuming 2 was game forcing), 4 - general values, 4 - splinter and perhaps 3 from the bid-out-your-shape fans. My own choice would not be 3 - I think that should show a better hand - perhaps with K instead of the six. I'd probably plump for 4, as long as partner will not expect guaranteed four card support.

Let's assume that you reach 6 - not necessarily by the displayed route. How do you play on K lead?
